Our story

A studio built for slow mornings and strong bodies

Saffron Tide began in 2019 with six mats in a rented Sunset District hall. Today we are a full California studio — but the idea never changed: yoga that meets you exactly where you are, and walks with you from your first breath to your deepest rest.

Why we exist

Practice as a daily rhythm, not a performance

Most studios ask you to keep up. We ask you to tune in. Every Saffron Tide session pairs intelligent movement with conscious breath, so effort and ease stay in conversation — on the mat and long after you roll it up.

  • Open-level classes with real variations — beginners and experienced movers share the same room.
  • Teachers with 200-hour minimum certification and ongoing breathwork training.
  • Small rooms by design: never more than 18 mats, so you are seen and supported.
  • Props, water and warmth included — just bring yourself.
What we believe

Three ideas shape everything we teach

Breath leads, body follows

Movement without breath is exercise. We cue the inhale first and let the shape grow out of it — that is where calm nervous systems are built.

Rest is a skill

Savasana is not the exit; it is the lesson. Our restorative and sound-bath sessions train genuine down-regulation in a world that forgot how.

Community holds the practice

From meditation circles to weekend retreats, we practice together on purpose. Accountability, friendship and shared quiet keep you coming back.
